President’s Message
                                   January 28, 2021
Dear Fellow Travelers:
Happy New Year!  And aren’t we all looking for some positive new
beginnings this year!  I also hope this letter finds you in good health, free
of the Coronavirus, and ready to get on the road again.

Your new CalWIT Board has been meeting via Zoom to take our oath of offices with the
help of Art Schipper and Denise Hagen from WIT National and to plan
our upcoming events.  In case it escaped your attention the CalWIT officers
for 2021 are as follows:

President: Sue Chambers (Chardonnay Travelers):
Vice President: Larry Imoe (Fresno Floaters):
2nd Vice President: Bruce Browne (San Diego Rolling Homes):
 Secretary: Cheri Imoe (Fresno Floaters):
 Treasurer: Bob Jehle (Chardonnay Travelers):
Immediate Past President: Art Schipper ChardonnayTravelers):

It looks like all regions of California will be well represented this year!  I want to extend
an especially warm welcome to Bruce Browne, our newest board member, and thank
everyone for their willingness to serve this coming year.

So now I’d like you to mark your calendars for the upcoming events being planned within
the next year:

Oct. 6-10, 2021: CalWIT Rally at Bakersfield RV Resort.

Jan. 19-23, 2022: CalWIT Rally at Golden Village Palms Resort, in
 Hemet, CA

Mar. 16-20, 2022: Southwest Regional Rally at Bakersfield RV Resort
(included here for your planning purposes!  Pat Doyle, of Mission Bell Travelers, is

This past year has been one for the history books…and it is a challenge to
get things back in gear. As usual, we will be looking for member ideas and their
willingness to volunteer to cook meals or perhaps lead a craft/art class or seminar.  This
is your Club so feel free to contact any of your board members with your concerns/ideas.

One idea, that I have been talking to WIT National about (for 10 years), is our ability to
invite our friends and/or family members to our rallies as guests even if they do not own
a Winnebago product.  Well, I have been given the go-ahead to do just that.  Just
understand that they will not qualify for any subsidized cost reduction given to members
in good standing (for example: a reduction in cost for a catered meal.)  Non-Winnebago
owners must be sponsored by a member in good standing.  More about this later.

All CalWIT dues have been rolled over for 2021.  (You will have to maintain
your National dues, however.  I have no jurisdiction there!!)

Lastly, I would like to call each of the Chapter Presidents.  So, please send
me a list of your current officers with their contact information.

Please feel free to contact me.  I look forward to reconnecting with friends and making
new ones!

 Best wishes;
